Billions for the War; Still Nothing for the Poor
A Call to the Peace Movement:

We, the Poor People?s Economic Human Rights Campaign stand with you for Peace and against war. We, the homeless, the uninsured, the unemployed, and the working poor of this country, stand with you in outrage and anger over the Bush agenda that is killing our brothers and sisters around the world.

We, who have lost 18,000 of our loved ones just this past year from lack of health insurance, feel the deep sorrow that you have for our lost loved ones in Iraq.

We, who are already tired of watching our children freeze in the streets in wintertime and starve to death in our rich, productive country, refuse to watch our children die overseas in an unjust war simply because the US army will provide them the basic necessities of life otherwise denied to them.

And so on August 29th, we will stand with you to say NO to the Bush administration and to call for an end to the immoral and dangerous war and occupation in Iraq.

And on August 30, we, the Poor People?s Economic Human Rights Campaign will march in favor of a peace that promotes  economic human rights to jobs at a living wage, affordable housing, education and health care. We urge you to march with us because, as you can see, the devastation of the war abroad and the war here at home are linked.

Please join us as we March for Our Lives from the United Nations to Madison Square Garden and stand up for peace of all kinds. Please endorse the March for Our Lives: Stop the War at Home.
