Prof Tissa Vitarana active member of PHM Sri Lanka elected as National list member of parliment and appointed as minister of science and technology, He is member of one of the oledest left political party call Lanka Sama Samaja Party. Also he is a Prof of microbiology in University of Sri Jayawardenarura. He has a long histoyr of his political carear.This appoinment is strenthing the PHM of Sri Lanka, In 2004 Jan he participated the PHM meeting at Mumbai, India
