information on recently published WHO training manual for health 
providers at first referral health facilities (district/rural 
hospital, primary/health centres) [see note below]:

WHO training manual 'Surgical Care at the District Hospital' which 
includes essential emergency surgical procedures and equipment for 
management of trauma, pregnancy-related complications, anaesthesia, 
resuscitation and infection control.

You will be please to know that this manual is being developed for 
francophone countries soon this year.
