Subject: Fwd: Fourth International Congress on Women Work and Health

The Fourth International Congress on Women Work and Health (WWH-2005) in
New Delhi

Following the three successful international congresses arranged
previously - at Barcelona in 1996, at Rio de Janeiro in 1999 and at
Stockholm in 2002 - the Fourth International Congress on Women Work and
Health will be held in New Delhi, India on 27-30 November 2005. Gender
equality and the quality of life were the themes at Barcelona and Rio de
Janeiro. In Stockholm, an effort was made to move forward and initiate
action for change. In New Delhi, the main theme will be women and
development.

The Fourth International Congress on Women Work and Health will focus on
the themes of safety, health and the environment. As was the case with
earlier conferences, the Congress in New Delhi will be a meeting place
for researchers, experts, and practitioners as well as representatives
of government, trade unions and the voluntary sector. The congress will
provide an opportunity for open and critical discussion of women's
health and of their working conditions and living conditions at large.
