Could you provided us with a case study related to your claims ( eg how will this road affect the mountain? How many villages will it cut across and whether there will be compesation for those lands that shall be affected? Who among the population is resisting agains this road? How long is the road. When will it be constructed for what purpose and for whose benefit? How long will the road be and which towns will be connected. Will it facilitate transport of people or goods only etc. This infor is necessary.

The world Bank is about to fund a major road project around the slopes of
Kilimanjaro, Tanzania. A lot of people are going to be replaced and their
livelihood. To my knowledge, Their has being no study to so assess the
impact of this road on the mountain whose snow are already in the danger of
disappearing from global worming effect. Clearly the road will have no added
benefit to the community. Most likely it will be a disaster -- a way of
extracting timber and other resources from the area. Off course this is
coming down to the people as government's order. I would like to bring this
problem to the attention of organization that can ensure the rights of the
people and protection of the worlds heritage. To stop this project will
require an international action. Thank you.

Christine.
