I agree with the comments posted so far. Many Indian doctors have commented that the poor do not need tonics/vitamins, they need to be able to continue with their traditional, low cost diets (without being brainwashed by multinational ads into thinking that changing to junk/fast foods that are deficient in nutrition, is a measure of "progress". My research has found that in the rural areas, refined flour- based packaged foods are replacing conventional (inexpensive) menus rich in vegetables and vitamins. This is a direct result of  advertising (especially on TV)
