Dear All

First of all I am not surprised. A strongest nation could get him (Saddam) after so many months of the most ferocious and notorious military operations and after complete destruction and defeat of old regime (that was essentially installed with the covert support of CIA) should not be taken as a miracle. Nor it is expected to change the world scenario of belligerence and forced subjugation of people and nations or, corollary, the people's/nation's resistance against imperialists who are aspect blind and out to dominate to exploit the world as usual.

Saddam and his Baathist cohort came to power after 1968 coup and murdering 1,500 supporters of revolutionary rulers, mostly communists. It was an open secret what happened then and following 4 decades. Probably in 1978 Saddam, the number 2, replaced the old general to rule Iraq. Then he enjoyed overall backing of US and played the game of political hegemony in cold war years as an icon of pro-Western blend of pseudo democracy, socialism and nationalism.

What Coalition force may now stage yet another drama to make the very Saddam a hero once again to complete the objective of Iraq occupation and Middle East dominance. The world Supper Power, however, is no more capable to silence and subjugate the conscience and voices of the people of the world including their own people in US, UK and other countries of coalition force.

The people of oppressed nations ruled by dictators, despots, tyrants and sovereign kings (not constitutional monarchs) if depended on the imperialists or super powers for their liberation then they will virtually be singing a dirge to the very ideals and causes they are struggling for or are to struggle. To be liberated, to be free is the people's own right and responsibility. It their own struggle. They can liberate themselves and be free if they are united and agitate with organized voices. They need their conscience, conviction and commitment to the causes of struggle, but not the guns especially the guns of foreign supper power in the hands of foreigners. Peoples' means - pens, brushes, voices and tools - are fare stronger than and superior to guns and all instruments of violence. One just need to have a courage to struggle united and persistently.

With regards
