PHA-Exchange> 25 years of Alma Ata - films show at WHO

During a visit to Geneva last week I discovered that shows of video
films on
the theme of Primary Health Care were organised at the WHO headquarters
in
Geneva from 10 to 13 November on the occasion of 25th anniversary of
Alma
Ata.

Among the films shown during this period was the film of first PHA in
Bangladesh in December 2000. The poster for publicising these film
shows
presents the following information about this film shown on 10
November: 

<Frustrated by the failure of the international community to deliver on
its
promises of health care, doctors, health professionals and civil right
activists from around the world convened in Dhaka in December 2000 at
the
People's Health Assembly. This film tells the story of people angered
by the
failure of the international health community to provide basic health
care
for the world's population.>
