The  Goal of the Famine Early Warning Systems Network (FEWS 
NET) is to strengthen the abilities of African countries and regional 
organizations to manage risk of food insecurity through the 
provision of timely and analytical early warning and vulnerability 
information.

The coordinated network of leading scientific institutions and private 
enterprise that provide unique technical and managerial talent and 
field presence, make FEWS NET an essential information system. 
Given the public interest nature of the FEWS NET activities, all are 
welcome to access our database for use in furthering the objectives 
of food security for all.
