Dorothy has now set up a yahoo group list serve for the circle.  If
interested in participating,  write to Dorothy  to join the Circle and thus
the list serve.

Description:
 A Poverty and AIDS Circle within the PHM has been set up, co-ordinated by
Dr  Dorothy Logie (Medact, UK). The purpose is to inform UNAIDS and to
influence  the work of UNAIDS at both a regional and global level. UNAIDS
takes a "rights based approach" and acknowledges that vulnerability to
HIV/AIDS is
through poverty, gender imbalance and conflict. The invitation to PHM to
work with UNAIDS came from Peter Piot, Director of UNAIDS, at the WHA 2002.
