PHA-Exchange> People are protesting illegal demolition of the constitution

Dear All
So far all civil societies advocating human rights, democracy, social
justice and social development, all human rights organizations, all the
principle political parties and some professional organization have strongly
opposed the royal takeover and demanding immediate and unconditional return
to political process and constitutional frame. Student, women, youth, and
several class organizations put up strong demonstrations in Biratnagar (7th
October), Janakpur (8th), Birgunj and Kathmandu (9th). Today under the
initiative of Movement for Democratic Rights the Civil Societies for
Democracy (Coalition of Civil Societies) are demonstrating in Ratna Park,
Kathmandu between 4.30 to 5.30 PM with black flags and anti take over
banners. All are invited to participate. Political parties and their members
are welcome. However, they are requested not to bring their flags.
